Beasts of Burden - our complex relationship with animals

An Art Exhibition Curated by Jane O’Hara

Up until now I had been listing the next stop for BEASTSOFBURDEN as The Animal Museum in LA. Sadly, the museum is closing its current location but is in negotiation to re-open with changes. BEASTSOFBURDEN is still planning to open at the new Animal Museum and we’ll keep you posted.

For now, several things are in the works. I am reaching out to other venues and have some interest.

This October in NYC I will be presenting a video/talk about BEASTSOFBURDEN during the Compassion Arts Fesitval, working this year with Culture and Animals Foundation (Compassion Arts and Culture + Animals Festival) and am planning to exhibit BEASTSOFBURDEN during that event weekend in Chelsea (NYC). You’ll be the first to know!

I received a Culture and Animals Foundation Grant to publish Beasts of Burden, the Book which profits for sales will go to whichever animal advocacy group is relevant to its sale. Thank you C+AF!

"Jane O'Hara curated an exhibition in which she gathered together fourteen artists whose work has, on the one hand, love and respect for the animals, but on the other hand also addresses our debt for the crimes committed against them."
